Chef Role for Early Years Setting

We are seeking a highly skilled Chef to join our team at Term Time Teachers.

About the Position:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking meals for young children in an early years setting.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition and food safety regulations.
  • The Chef must be able to accommodate children with dietary needs and restrictions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for young children.
  • Ensure all meals meet early years food safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen stock, order fresh ingredients, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Serve food to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in catering or a similar role.
  • A Level 2 or above qualification in Catering or Food Hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.

Pay and Benefits:

  • An estimated annual salary of £30,000 - £40,000, based on experience.
  • A competitive hourly rate + weekly pay.
