Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Peer Support Worker to join our team at Red Rose Recovery. This rewarding role involves working with clients, developing support plans, and building networks to deliver support.
About the Role:
- Develop and work through support plans with service users, ensuring their needs are met and goals are achieved.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies, identifying opportunities to add value and support clients.
- Support clients in accessing other services, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Facilitate groups, including 5 ways to wellbeing and Hope & Beyond, fostering a sense of community and connection.
- Maintain accurate records, documenting progress and achievements.
- Liaise with the wider team, providing support and guidance to members and volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with partner organisations, optimising resources and time.
- Promote a positive public image, raising awareness of Red Rose Recovery's work.
- Support the Lancashire User Forum, adhering to Red Rose Recovery policies and procedures.
- Ensure safeguarding disclosures are handled appropriately.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of mental health and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Our mission is to establish and develop recovery communities across Lancashire, supporting people with complex needs and vulnerabilities.
We operate with an Asset-Based Community Development ethos, focusing on uncovering strengths and abilities rather than deficits. As a Mental Health Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering our objectives and making a positive difference in people's lives.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
Location: Based in Lancashire, with regular travel to various locations.
