Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to provide individualized support and help them reach their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with ADHD, helping them to build self-confidence and improve their behavior.
  • Work closely with the child's teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and well-being.
  • Assist the child with their daily tasks and activities, including homework and projects.
  • Help the child to develop their social skills and interact with their peers in a positive way.
Requirements:
  • A Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is a must.
  • A good level of English and Maths (GCSE pass mark or equivalent) is also required.
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably on a 1:1 basis, is essential.
  • Excellent behavior management skills and the ability to work with children with challenging behavior.
