Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team at Oliver James. As a key member of our in-house legal department, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal support across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on corporate matters, including company formation, governance, and compliance with international regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals and mitigate risk.
  • Support the legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, from due diligence to contract negotiation and post-merger integration.
  • Advise on the legal implications of entering new markets, including compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on high-impact corporate projects that drive growth and innovation.
  • Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.
  • Work closely with various departments to provide legal support that aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Stay ahead of legal trends and best practices, ensuring the legal function remains innovative, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified lawyer with expertise in corporate and commercial law.
  • Proven experience in handling corporate transactions, including M&A.
  • Strong understanding of international law and regulations, with experience supporting global business operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  • Experience working in-house is preferred, but not essential.
