Waste Management Driver

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
* Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department.
* Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
* Ensure compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
* The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
* Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company's safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
* Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:**
* Class 2 LGV driving licence.
* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
* Professional and organised approach.
* Good time management / ability to work under pressure.
* Effective communication skills.
* Displays initiative.
* Self-motivated / standalone capabilities.
* Flexible and committed.
