Account Manager (Energy Procurement and Energy Management)

Utility People is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining delivery of our energy procurement services and upselling and cross-selling a range of energy management/net zero services to our corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and implement clients' annual energy contracts, both flex and fixed price.
  • Interface directly with large, sometimes multi-site, clients at board room level.
  • Meet KPIs, retention, up-selling, and client issues.
  • Maintain CRM records and contract management.
  • Liaise directly with utility suppliers on behalf of their clients.
  • Coordinate/deliver strategic interaction and reporting for multicommodity corporate clients.
  • Support other divisions in contact/visiting clients such as Technical Team (surveys) and Sales.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in the energy sector.
  • 3 years in an Account Manager role, ideally with either consultancy or in-house supplier.
  • Exemplary communication skills at all levels of businesses - verbal and written.
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial risk management skills.
  • Problem ownership skills with the ability to work collaboratively to find suitable solutions.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel.
