Account Manager - Energy Procurement and Management

Our client, a leading energy consultancy, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive the delivery of their energy procurement services and upsell/cross-sell energy management/net zero solutions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, including 4 key accounts and a small number of SMEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and implement clients' annual energy contracts, including flexible and fixed-price options.
  • Interface directly with large clients at boardroom level, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for retention, up-selling, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage contracts effectively.
  • Liaise with utility suppliers on behalf of clients, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate and deliver strategic interactions and reporting for multicommodity corporate clients.
  • Support other divisions in client contact and visiting, including the Technical Team (surveys) and Sales.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in the energy sector, with 3+ years in an Account Manager role, preferably with a consultancy or in-house supplier.
  • Exemplary communication skills at all levels of business, with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial risk management skills and the ability to work collaboratively to find suitable solutions.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel.
  • Degree or A-Level qualification (desirable).

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + OTE £75,000 - £80,000.
