Nursery Care Specialist Job Description

Austin Fraser is seeking an exceptional Nursery Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development theories and practices, as well as excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality childcare and education to children, adhering to the school's policies and procedures.
  • To maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, identifying areas of concern and suggesting strategies for improvement.
  • To participate in the development and implementation of educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • To communicate regularly with parents/carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and any issues that may arise.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth-running and efficient nursery environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Childcare related qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014).
  • Current paediatric First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos, foundation, and values.
  • Ability to apply school policies and contribute to the school's vision and aims.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and supervision programmes.
