Highway Maintenance Supervisor

We're seeking a skilled Supervisor to join our Transportation team in Yeovil, supporting Somerset County Council's road network. As a key member of our Reactive Works team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Reactive Works Manager in programming, managing, and delivering routine and severe weather services, ensuring compliance with program and maintenance requirement plans.
- Supervise daily work allocations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Actively promote health and safety in the workplace, setting a good example for other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general health and safety responsibilities.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and emergency services as required, communicating effectively to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Proven experience working within the highways industry, including knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery.
- Hold an SSSTS or higher qualification and a full driving license.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
