About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager to join our Engineering department at Premier Foods in Stoke on Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading capital projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of suitable projects, including feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Lead the compilation of capital authority request documentation and engage end-users in the development of engineering scope.
  • Develop functional design specifications in compliance with engineering and Premier specifications.
  • Select preferred suppliers through a robust selection process.
  • Manage all health and safety aspects of capital projects, adhering to CDM requirements.
  • Report project progress, track milestones, and manage financials.
  • Ensure compliance with user acceptance test protocols and manage post-delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food/FMCG, with extensive capital project management experience.
  • Conversant with relevant legislation, including IEE 17th Edition and DSEAR.
  • Demonstrable record of successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG, with emphasis on specification, integration, and implementation.
  • CAD literacy and proficiency in MS Project.
  • Strong working knowledge of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems.
