Job Description

The role of Internal Communications Specialist is an exciting opportunity for a talented Communications Co-ordinator to join the University of Surrey's ambitious Communications & Public Affairs department on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

You will be responsible for creatively inspiring news and need-to-know information with our internal audiences, using your strong writing skills and top-class organisational skills to manage our active internal communications channels.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Write and produce a wide range of online and offline communications for the University's current staff audience, including regular e-newsletters for staff.
  • Assist with the management of our intranet, including creating and uploading news, events and supporting/informative content using the content management system (Drupal).
  • Plan and execute staff engagement campaigns, including producing microsites, campaign assets and managing photoshoots.
  • Work with internal and external creative designers and agencies to project manage the production of digital and print content, including video, imagery and podcast recordings for internal broadcast.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 based on experience and location.
