About the Role

We are seeking a Category Manager to champion the voice of the shopper and customer, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will enable Kerry and its customers to adopt a shared category vision through tailored category development plans, identifying opportunities and optimizing growth for Kerry Brands and prioritized customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tailor category vision, strategy, and tactics to align with Business Unit goals.
  • Develop clear growth plans and tactics to unlock category and brand growth across top 5 grocery accounts.
  • Document and implement actions by category/subcategory/range, supported by customer, shopper, consumer, and brand insights.
  • Compile promotional analysis to direct both the customer and Kerry Foods on optimal promotional plans and strategies.
  • Identify white space opportunities and compile compelling category selling stories.
  • Contribute to decision-making processes across multiple project teams, leveraging insight and market trends.
  • Deliver DARE content to support category team development.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Business or Marketing discipline (desirable).
  • First experience in a category or commercial role.
  • Ability to tailor category vision and strategies to engage internal and external contacts.
  • Good capability in Analysis & Renovate.
  • Knowledge of innovation platforms, proposition development, and activation of Own Brand.
  • Knowledge of UK customers, trade channels, and allocated customers and their shoppers.
  • Knowledge of shopper missions, mindsets, and journeys in categories and channels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize customer and internal work demands.
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer-facing skills.
  • Impactful and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and challenge thinking and decision-making internally and externally.
