Senior Policy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Advisor to join our Prudential and Sustainability Team at HM Treasury. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policy on prudential banking and sustainable finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality policy advice to ministers and senior officials on capital requirements for banks and securitisation.
- Advise on the implementation of new rules on capital requirements for banks and securitisation, working closely with financial regulators.
- Develop and lead policy development on overseas regimes related to capital regulation, ensuring alignment with UK financial regulatory requirements.
- Lead policy development on securitisation, including advising on legislative requirements to support regulator rule making.
- Line manage one SEO, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of policy objectives.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in financial services regulation or the legislative process. You will have excellent communication skills, able to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner. You will also be able to deliver high-quality work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines.
