About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our Asset Management team at HM Treasury. As a Policy Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping the UK's asset management policy framework, working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement policy to ensure the UK has a robust and internationally competitive framework for alternative fund managers.
  • Lead on scoping and delivering a cross-cutting programme of reform for asset management regulation, from consultation to legislative phase.
  • Engage with the Bank of England, Financial Conduct Authority, and industry stakeholders to ensure the Government's approach to asset management regulation is effective and proportionate.
  • Maintain an international outlook, tracking international developments related to the asset management sector and engaging with policy counterparts and overseas delegations.
About You

We are looking for a talented individual with strong policy-making skills, experience in managing a busy workload, and the ability to communicate complex concepts easily to non-experts. You will have a strong understanding of the asset management sector and its regulatory framework, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
