Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

A leading Civil Engineering, Tier 1, Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position near Peterborough for a large Infrastructure project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to gain experience working on a prestigious project, supporting the project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, and capturing and sharing knowledge across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company
  • Report to the Commercial Manager about the subcontract status
  • Assist senior staff in pricing variations
  • Support the Commercial and Contract Managers with monthly project cost reports and progress reports
  • Provide provision, when required, to the rest of the team on managing other subcontract lifecycles, participating in procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and work packages management
  • Prepare monthly financial statements of anticipated Final Account detailing status of variations (budget, submitted, agreed), in conjunction with project management
  • Assist with monthly work in progress reports in conjunction with project manager
  • Be fully aware of and actively comply with company policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures, including equality, sustainability, and the environment, health and safety, and data protection

Requirements:

  • Min 6 years Experience in heavy civil engineering projects
  • Must have previous NEC contract experience
  • Confident and comfortable working on projects exceeding £10m+ in value
