Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at our Surrey office. This role involves working on a diverse range of projects across the Education, Residential, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead engineering designs and manage projects to ensure timely completion within set budgets and timelines.
- Implement company procedures and policies, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage the design team, providing mechanical engineering support to all engineers, and develop mechanical standards within the organization.
- Liaise with clients and attend project meetings to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Conduct surveys and produce reports, and perform quality inspections of projects to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Monitor the financial aspects of projects, and develop budget costings for all aspects of services.
- Analyse IES thermal modelling results, and develop mechanical specifications and drawings manually and using CAD software.
- Experience working in a consultancy, contractor, and direct client settings, including both traditional and design & build projects.
- Producing detailed specifications, performing design calculations using manual methods and software, and preparing tender packages and analysing returned tenders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp (or Cymap), and ability to work in a team environment.
- Educated to HNC or degree level, and familiarity with CIBSE guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, and British Standards.
