Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at our Surrey office. This role involves working on a diverse range of projects across the Education, Residential, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering designs and manage projects, ensuring timely completion within set budgets and timelines.
- Implement company procedures and policies, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage the design team, providing mechanical engineering support to all engineers and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Liaise with clients and attend project meetings, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional results.
- Conduct surveys and produce reports, analyzing data to inform design decisions and drive business growth.
- Perform quality inspections of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Monitor the financial aspects of projects, developing budget costings and analyzing returned tenders.
- Develop mechanical standards within the organization, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Analyze IES thermal modeling results, applying technical expertise to drive design innovation.
- Experience working in a consultancy, contractor, and direct client settings, including both traditional and design & build projects.
- Producing detailed specifications, performing design calculations using manual methods and software.
- Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and Hevacomp (or Cymap), with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Educated to HNC or degree level, with familiarity with CIBSE guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, and British Standards.
