The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Digital Midwife to join our Maternity & Neonates Ward at University Hospital Wishaw.

The successful candidate will have expertise in maternity digital programs and processes, as well as a proactive 'can do' approach.

They will be an effective ambassador for the board, be credible and knowledgeable with the confidence and interpersonal skills to work with clinical, managerial and support staff at all levels across maternity services and the wider organisation.

The post holder must be highly motivated and confident in managing challenging and changing workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical quality improvements and successful service change.
  • Develop and manage patient records using digital systems.
  • Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service approach.
  • Facilitate change with the Maternity Services.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife on Part 10 of the NMC Register or Registered Nurse Part 1 of the NMC Register.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
  • Service development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A complete understanding of General Data Protection Regulation, Caldicott Principles and the Freedom of Information Act.
