Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatician to join our team at Warman O'Brien, a leading biotechnology company. As a key member of our research team, you will collaborate with scientists and experts to advance our innovative projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge bioinformatics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and improve our bioinformatics workflows and tools, including those required for target and drug discovery.
  • Establish and manage a robust and scalable bioinformatics data storage system, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement data storage policies to meet the needs of our research team.
  • Work independently to process and develop bioinformatics pipelines, delivering high-quality results within deadline-driven workflows.
  • Communicate results clearly to bench and dry lab collaborators, as well as other partners and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science with relevant experience in transcriptomics analyses.
  • Significant experience with mammalian genomics and transcriptomics, including prior experience in human genomics.
  • Experience with long read RNA sequencing data analysis.
  • Experience with implementing NGS analysis pipelines for single-cell RNA sequencing, differential gene expression, and splicing analysis/isoform discovery.
  • Highly proficient in computing languages, including R and/or Python, and use of statistical tools for biological interpretations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality data within deadline-driven workflows.
