As a System Safety Expertise Required, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe design, development, and operation of aerospace systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Applying your knowledge of system safety engineering to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Conducting safety assessments and risk analyses to inform decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining safety standards and procedures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in systems and/or systems safety engineering
  • 8+ years of experience working within the aerospace/aviation industry
  • Strong knowledge of Aircraft Safety Assessment, including conducting assessments and planning policies/procedures
  • Good understanding of safety analysis techniques; FHA, FMEA, and FTA
  • Knowledge of Reliability prediction techniques
  • Knowledge of systems development following ARP4754 (or equivalent standard)
  • Software or hardware safety, DO254 or DO178
  • Knowledge of safety assurance techniques for safety-critical products/components

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £700-£900 per day, depending on experience.
