About the Role

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Lindsay Ward, Biggart Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation-focused care, promoting patients' rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop and maintain a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
  • Work effectively with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure awareness, understanding, and compliance with policies and practices, such as the Escort Policy, Prevention and Control of Infection, and Health and Safety.
Requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Awareness, understanding, and compliance with policies and practices.
Working Hours

4 positions available, working 34.1 hours per week.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement the reduced working week of 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings, in line with the NHS Agenda for Change.
