Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shotblaster to join our fabrication team at FTV Proclad International Ltd. As a Shotblaster, you will be responsible for operating industrial shot blast equipment to prepare fabricated steel components for welding and material handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate shot blast equipment to prepare steel components for welding and material handling
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies when operating equipment
  • Keep work areas clear and organized
  • Notify supervisors of all repairs and malfunctions
  • Clean, adjust, and maintain equipment
  • Read work orders to determine production specifications and information
  • Reject defective products and readjust equipment as necessary
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to required standards
  • Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using company-approved lifting systems
  • Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms
  • Maintain and mark bins as to types of mixtures stored
Personal Qualities
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work effectively under pressure
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks accordingly
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of industrial equipment operation and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 33 days holiday per year on a pro-rata basis, an employer pension contribution of 5% of salary, and life assurance.
