Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to SEN children, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that SEN children receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children.

Requirements:

  • Psychology graduate with a strong understanding of child development and special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of SEN children.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
