Job Purpose:
This Management Accountant role is responsible for ensuring the month-end close process is executed accurately and on time for all UK locations. The successful candidate will work as part of our finance team in the corporate head office, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their detail-oriented focus and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Executing monthly closing and reporting of books and records, related account reconciliations, cost accruals, analysis of financial statement variances, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and Stericycle accounting policies.
* Preparing in a timely and accurate manner the accounting information and processes to support monthly reporting to the US parent company, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
* Collaborating with various business units to have a thorough understanding of reporting requirements and business needs, and communicating regularly with stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.

Requirements:
* A CIMA/ACCA qualification or nearing the end of studies.
* Proven track record of team leadership and excellent communication and presentation skills, confident working with people at all levels of the organization, and able to explain financial information in a way that non-financial professionals can understand.
* Practical experience in journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation, and a solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX requirements.
