About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FLIC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of FLIC, managing our partnerships and fundraising efforts, and overseeing the development and implementation of our programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for FLIC, aligning with our mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including trustees, staff, educators, volunteers, and communities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of our programmes, including our financial literacy curriculum for secondary schools and our adult learning programme.
  • Lead the fundraising efforts for FLIC, developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure new income and grow our existing partnerships.
  • Manage the charity's finances, ensuring effective budgeting, financial planning, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the charity's existing policies, processes, and practices, ensuring operational excellence and sufficient resources to execute plans effectively.
  • Lead the expansion of FLIC's adult learning programme and impact, ensuring the charity meets its yearly milestones and 3-year targets.
  • Represent FLIC at external events, fostering engagement with our stakeholders and promoting our work.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a strategic-level role within a social-purpose organisation, with a proven track record of growing and evaluating organisational impact.
  • Strong fundraising experience, including trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
  • Knowledge of the challenges of financial literacy and inclusion, with a nuanced understanding of the impact of our work.
  • Ability to balance high-quality day-to-day performance with the identification and management of medium-term strategic risks and opportunities.
  • Clear and compelling communication skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders with our vision, mission, and work.
