We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Medical Leader in Adolescent Mental Health, you will play a key role in providing high-quality medical leadership to our Tier 4 team based at the St Aubyn Centre in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consistent, high-quality medical leadership to the Tier 4 team, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Work closely with colleagues across all disciplines to regularly review the progress of treatment, including medication reviews, assessments of mental states, and participation in ward reviews.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure clinical governance activities are maintained, including quality and management meetings.
- Supervise trainee doctors and contribute to their training and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to cover absences due to annual leave and study leave, and short-term sickness.
- Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register, or within six months of obtaining CCT.
- Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register.
