About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Ethics and Public Life Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Church of England's work on public policy and ethics, and will be responsible for providing high-quality advice and guidance to senior officials within the Church.

Responsibilities:

  • Main Tasks:
    • Provide expert advice on public policy and ethics matters to senior officials within the Church, including the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organizations, and other faith groups.
    • Contribute to the development of the Church's policies and strategies on public policy and ethics.
  • Requirements:
    • Degree in a relevant field, such as politics, law, or theology.
    • Significant experience in public policy and ethics, preferably in a church or faith-based organization.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the Church and beyond.
