Supply Chain and Procurement Manager - Newcastle

Eiffage Génie Civil is a leading player in the construction industry, with a presence in various sectors. Our teams work on projects from conception to completion, including maintenance and demolition, in France and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Purchase and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage a pool of suppliers, ensuring strong relationships and effective communication
    • Establish and manage contracts, purchase orders, and service level agreements
    • Oversee project purchases, including procurement and follow-up of materials and services
    • Coordinate site purchases, including the procurement and management of materials and equipment
    • Propose cost-effective solutions for investments and hiring
    • Review and approve invoices in accordance with contracts and agreements
  • Project Management and Engineering
    • Monitor the delivery of project materials and ensure timely completion
    • Develop and implement a purchase plan, including call-offs and bills of materials
    • Provide input on project delivery at management review meetings
    • Support internal transportation, including hiring and purchasing
    • Keep production teams informed of critical deliveries
  • Human Resources
    • Allocate tasks within the department and ensure effective teamwork
    • Evaluate and recruit new staff members
  • Logistics and Quality Assurance
    • Manage warehouse operations and ensure efficient inventory management
    • Coordinate call-offs for multiple projects and maintain control over the process
    • Provide weekly call-off reports, highlighting progress and project plans
    • Assist the QA/QC department in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and driving change
    • Monitor and review improvement plans to ensure effective implementation

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and internet/intranet platforms
  • Previous experience in a relevant or related role
  • Ability to lead a team of 1-50 people
