Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering department, ensuring that all technical procedures and standards are maintained, and advising on improvements to processes and products.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading aerospace company based in Essex, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and technologies.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Productivity Improvements: Advise on productivity improvements related to quality and process.
  • Facility Layout and Processes: Contribute constructively towards facility layout and processes.
  • Inspection and Classification: Advise on inspection of components, parts, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Monitor tool/equipment calibration requirements and ensure a system is in place to monitor scheduled and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintenance Data Management: Maintain a system that provides and controls the availability of all current maintenance data.
  • Capability Listing Assessment: Carry out assessments of additions and reviews of the organisation's capability listing.
  • Procedure Recording and Notification: Record and notify incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice, information, or maintenance instruction.
  • Warranty Claims Evaluation: Evaluate warranty claims and associated customer reports in an acceptable timescale.
  • Personnel Competence: Ensure the competence of all personnel within the engineering department.
  • OEM Training Requirements: Advise on OEM and internal technical training requirements for engineering and support staff.
  • Process Improvements: Advise on improvements to processes, products, and reliability recommendations received from the OEM/Operator.
  • Tech Procedures and Standards: Maintain the organisation's technical procedures and standards relevant to the Engineering department.
  • Safety and Compliance: Respond to Safety and Compliance deficiencies in the area of activity for which he is responsible.
