About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable teenagers in a unique and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with complex mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, focusing on creative and practical learning
  • De-escalate volatile situations and provide a calm and safe environment for students
  • Work closely with the school's therapy team to provide a holistic approach to student support
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or children, or a relevant degree in a field such as Psychology, Criminology, or Social Work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a professional framework
