At Heidelberg Materials AG, we are committed to improving equipment reliability by carrying out Preventive and corrective maintenance on our plant.
This role involves supporting the maintenance team leader and being a central part of the maintenance team by performing mechanical inspections and carrying out planned and corrective maintenance on the plant as directed by your Team leader or Managers.
We receive work instructions for routine planned and corrective maintenance and carry out the duties as written or directed. We work within a team or singly as required by your immediate person in charge.
We take an active part in the 8am MIP meetings and provide information as required. We ensure all activities are carried out within the company requirements of safety, environment and quality and perform other duties as requested by your maintenance supervisor / team leader or manager.
This is a proactive and effective member of the maintenance team who will liaise with other members of the maintenance team as necessary to promote the effectiveness of the team.
The ideal candidate will be involved in site activities to ensure efficient and effective maintenance methods and will have involvement with the MIP systems.
To succeed in this role you will need a good understanding of health safety and environmental impacts of role and experience and understanding of mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment including compressed air generation and distribution, process lines, vessels, conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, milling, pneumatics hydraulics bearings, gear boxes etc.
You will also need welding and burning for fabrication and maintenance skills and use of pulling and lifting gear. Experience of heavy/chemical industry manufacturing plants would be beneficial.
This role requires NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
We offer a salary range of £42,000 - £51,000 per annum, which reflects the complexity and responsibility of the role. We are based in Ketton and work full-time hours, including shifts.
