As a Safety Specialist Senior, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our sites are safe and healthy for everyone. Your expertise will help us maintain a compliant and proactive approach to health and safety, empowering our teams to work confidently and efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Monitor site performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance processes.
- Implement and manage workplace health and safety programs, including arranging training sessions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to inform resource allocation and risk management decisions.
- Conduct audits to verify site compliance with health and safety laws, implementing solutions to mitigate identified risks.
About the Role
You will be based at one of our sortation centers, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety excellence. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring a positive and safe working environment for everyone.
What We're Looking for
- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Experience with UK Environment, Health and Safety legislation
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
- Prior experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies is desirable
- Experience in planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives is also desirable
