Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Click Recruitment. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing network infrastructure support across a large client campus. Your primary focus will be on wireless estate management, including day-to-day support, upgrades, and project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues on all networking infrastructure.
  • Be a primary point of contact for user issues and queries.
  • Configure and deploy network equipment.
  • Adhere to strict policies and processes around security and data protection.
  • Ensure SLA requirements and Customer Satisfaction metrics are on or above target.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive and meaningful updates in the customer's ticket handling system.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to internal and customer management teams.
  • Work with Aruba Airwave & Clearpass.
  • Manage communication with customers on complex technical problems.
  • Create internal technical documents for local teams.

Requirements:

  • Aruba / HPE Network accreditation minimum Professional.
  • Comfortable working with Aruba Clearpass & Airwave products.
  • Proven extensive networking background, minimum 4 years experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to simplify technical detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, structured manner to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident, collaborative working style and able to interface with people of all levels.
  • Proactive approach to work activities & support of colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership.
  • Knowledge of network equipment from the following vendors - Cisco, Nokia & HPE/Aruba.

Desirable Skills:

  • Beneficial to have knowledge of Palo Alto & Fortinet Firewalls.
  • Network Management: HPE IMC and Solarwinds.
  • ITIL Service Management Foundation.
  • Experience of IT incident management.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of an onsite team, providing network infrastructure support across a large client campus. The role is primarily responsible for wireless estate management, including day-to-day support, upgrades, and project activities. The successful candidate will be required to work a 1:3 day shift rota, covering 7am to 7pm, and 1:3 on-call shift which covers 7pm to 7am and weekend hours.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary for this role is £50-55k + benefits + on-call allowance claimed through overtime, which works out to be about 23% extra (up to est. £13K). The role is based out of Gatwick, and the successful candidate will be required to live approximately 30-40 minutes from Gatwick.
