Nursery Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our team at Apex Careers and Staffing Limited.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management:
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to ensure seamless daily operations and maintain a high level of quality care and education.
- Act as the Nursery Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the nursery's management.
- Support the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of nursery staff.
- Lead and motivate staff to provide exceptional care and education.
- Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews of team members.
- Childcare and Education:
- Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Develop and implement educational programs aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all children.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in planning and delivering activities that promote children's development.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the nursery setting.
- Parent and Family Liaison:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families, serving as a point of contact for any concerns or queries.
- Ensure effective communication with parents regarding children's development and nursery activities.
- Organize and participate in parent meetings and workshops to foster family engagement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the nursery meets all statutory and legal requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensure that policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist the Nursery Manager in managing budgets, resources, and financial planning.
- Oversee staff rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
- Keep accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
- Handle enquiries and support the recruitment of new children to the nursery.
