About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Program Coordinator to join our team at The Resource Centre Derry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a safe, secure, and healthy environment for children in our crèche and SureStart Developmental Programme for 2–3 Year Olds.
  • Plan and manage daily routines that cater to individual children's needs, incorporating various play and learning opportunities.
  • Lead and motivate a staff team, promoting a positive work environment and encouraging collaboration.
  • Supervise staff members, conduct regular team meetings, and facilitate appraisals as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to students and volunteers placed in designated settings.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance registers, accident reports, daily plans, observation records, and risk assessments.
  • Compile written reports for social services case reviews, evaluations, and transitions to other agencies.
Requirements
  • A strong background in early years education or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Confidentiality regarding sensitive information about parents and children using our services.
Working Conditions

This is a 30-hour per week position with a rate of pay £13.87 per hour.
