Transforming Space Exploration with Innovative Technologies

We're seeking a highly skilled DSP Firmware Engineer to join our UK-based team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge space telecommunication payloads and advanced sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with international experts to design, simulate, and implement digital signal processing algorithms for telecoms and sensing applications.
  • Translate formal input requirements into firmware design concepts, from well-defined specifications to innovative, new concepts.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software challenges for space missions.
  • Maintain and extend existing space communication products.
  • Produce and document firmware requirements as needed.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in signal processing design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in designing and simulating multirate signal processing algorithms.
  • Experience with C/C++ coding for SoC cores and/or vector processors.
  • Expertise in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA or ASIC designs.
  • Experience with modern AMD/Xilinx SoCs for implementing DSP algorithms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with formal configuration control methods.
  • Experience leading design teams and familiarity with 5G/LTE radio stacks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of radiation mitigation design techniques for space hardware is a bonus.
