Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our data-driven organization, you will play a critical role in driving business strategies and improving the delivery experience for millions of customers worldwide.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self-starting individual to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. You will be responsible for designing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions using various tools such as MAWS, NAWS, Quicksight, RStudio Connect, and other Amazon proprietary BI tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with business customers to gather requirements and deliver accurate, scalable Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Build ETL, data pipeline jobs, aggregations, and automated delivery in SQL, Python/R, shell script.
  • Design data models on varied database platforms like Redshift, MySQL, or object-based data stores.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Apply deep analytic and business intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights from large and complicated data sets.

A Day in the Life

You will have unique opportunities to work alongside engineers, product managers, data scientists, program managers, and finance leaders to help build next-gen analytics and data-driven reporting supported via one of the largest finance data warehouses and/or data lake.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, 3+ years of experience with data visualization, data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines, and strong SQL scripting skills.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
