External Sales Development Manager

£46,000 + £9,500 bonus per annum is on offer for this External Sales Development Manager role based in London & South East.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts and generating new business relationships with national merchants, regional merchants, independent merchants, buying groups, developers, specialist garage & door merchants, and wholesalers such as Elliots, Travis Perkins & Jewson.
This External Sales Development Manager opportunity requires 1 night away a week on average, and the successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with internal support staff and marketing team to maximise sales within their territory.
The ideal candidate will have field-based sales experience within the construction industry, a track record of working for or selling to builders merchants including national, independent, specialist merchants, and ideally specialist wholesalers, and experience in developing long-term relationships with clients.
