Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Bakkavor Meals London. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our Quality Assurance team in monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Understand and apply relevant standards and codes of practice to ensure Bakkavör, customer, BRC, and legal requirements are achieved and maintained.
- Ensure the implementation, maintenance, and achievement of HACCP requirements.
- Participate in the evaluation of risks and defining controls for new processes, products, or raw materials.
- Implement, maintain, and review quality management systems associated with food production to agreed safety and quality standards.
- Manage an audit system to ensure critical procedures for product safety, legality, and quality are in place and complied with.
- Support the Technical Manager and business with management of audits, hosting audits as appropriate, and managing response and close-out of non-conformance reports.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure technical needs are met.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager in their absence.
- Manage the training and development requirements of the Technical team and ensure direct reports are properly equipped to undertake their roles.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the Quality team in line with Bakkavör Values to achieve personal development, continuous improvement, and drive business forward.
You will have previous experience within a similar Technical/QA Manager role within a food manufacturing environment. You will be a great people leader and have experience driving a quality culture. You will be able to demonstrate our key values of customer care, can-do, teamwork, and not just getting it right but keeping it right.
