About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to a Year 5 pupil in a vibrant primary school in Kensington & Chelsea.

The successful candidate will work 1 day per week (Thursday), with potential to increase to 2 days for the right candidate, and will be responsible for delivering speech and language interventions to help the child overcome communication barriers and thrive in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a Year 5 pupil with targeted speech and language interventions
  • Collaborate with the school team to help the child achieve their communication goals
  • Monitor and record the child's progress and behaviours, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCo

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in delivering speech and language interventions in an educational setting
  • A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their communication goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the pupil and the school
