Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic and individualized care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in nursing care to ensure evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Post-registration experience in a relevant clinical area, preferably in palliative care or end-of-life care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
