Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Derby Hospital. As a key member of our Neonatal Transitional Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to newborn infants and their families.

Job Summary:

The Neonatal Nurse Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for neonates with complex medical needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide education to families on neonatal care and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan individualized care for neonates with complex medical needs
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide education to families on neonatal care and development
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Experience in neonatal care, preferably in a transitional care setting
  • Strong assessment and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
