Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our ambulances are in top condition, ready to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ambulances, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, such as engine problems and electrical system malfunctions.
- Work with our team to ensure that all vehicles are properly serviced and maintained, meeting strict safety and regulatory standards.
- Participate in a 24-hour breakdown service, responding to emergency calls and performing repairs on the road.
- Collaborate with our fleet management team to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and upgraded to meet the needs of our service.
- C1 License category (or ability to achieve within 6 months)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in vehicle mechanical engineering
- NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent qualification
