The Adult Counsellor will be responsible for providing high-quality counselling services to clients with substance use disorders. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of addiction and recovery processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and group counselling services, using evidence-based approaches such as the 12-Step Recovery program.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress, including documentation of sessions, assessments, and evaluations.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including medical professionals, social workers, and case managers.
Requirements:
- $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology or social work.
- Certification as a LCADC or CADC is required, with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
