Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Radiology Administrator Specialist to join our Imaging Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of radiographic services, providing timely and efficient support to patients and staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing clinical justification of referrals and ensuring compliance with IR(ME)R regulations.
- Providing courteous and efficient provision of radiographic services, taking into account patient needs.
- Maintaining accurate records on the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).
- Communicating effectively with patients, referrers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors within the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will require:
- BSc Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
- Postgraduate training and substantial work experience in MRI/CT/IR/Neuro.
- Experience in supervision and training of less experienced radiographers and departmental staff.
Benefits: As a Senior Radiology Administrator Specialist at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you can expect a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
