About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Incident Command Supervisor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of clinicians, team leaders, and other support staff to provide safe, effective, and responsive services within a defined geographical area.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the general day-to-day running of the locality in conjunction with the Local Area Manager and Team Leaders.
  • Focus on staff welfare, operational productivity, and efficiency, as well as the best utilization of available operational resources.
  • Lead operations managers to ensure coverage at multiple work settings, including response duties to 999 calls and incidents, A&E departments, and ambulance stations.

Requirements

  • HCPC Registered Paramedic or equivalent Nurse/Allied Health Professions registered with a relevant governing body.
  • Managerial qualification or equivalent experience, with demonstrable experience of working in a supervisory role or above.
  • A full UK manual driving license with C1 category and no more than 3 penalty points.

Desirable Criteria

  • NARU Operational Commander Course acquired within 12 months.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt styles and messages to match the situation and audience.
  • Ability to assess situations and make decisions quickly and confidently.

Experience

  • Mentoring and clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience of working in highly pressured situations while remaining calm and effective.
  • Experience of managing a team.
