Imperial Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Personal Development and Progression Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our students with their personal development and progression support.
Key Responsibilities:- Offer advice, guidance, and support to enable students to be prepared for progression to apprenticeships or higher education.
- Support the monitoring and management of attendance and behavior issues.
- Prepare students for their next steps, including overseeing UCAS applications, CV scrutiny, and apprenticeship interview support.
- Employ a variety of techniques and resources consistent with evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning.
- Implement enrichment opportunities for students in line with Imperial Recruitment Group's standards and to develop students' personal development beyond the curriculum.
- Implement Imperial Recruitment Group's Core Values through the delivery of the teaching and learning strategy.
- Utilize systems effectively to help manage attendance and behavior in line with standards and expectations.
- Promote numeracy and literacy in all teaching and learning practices.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by Imperial Recruitment Group and any statutory regulators.
- Implement all Imperial Recruitment Group policies and procedures governing student life and conduct.
- Make provision for being available to students and/or their parents for education-related purposes outside of the teaching day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
- GCSEs at Grade C/Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Careers/Advice & Guidance qualification - Desirable.
- Coaching/Mentoring qualification - Desirable.
- Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards completion) - Desirable.
- Experience of working with young people or providing guidance to students.
- Knowledge of the range of courses offered in Post 16 education that are progression routes for students studying at TTE.
- Knowledge of careers information, advice, and guidance.
- Knowledge of Higher Education, Apprenticeship, and other study routes beyond TTE.
- Current knowledge of the Ofsted EIF, and the impact of this on Personal Development and Behavior and Attitudes.
- Knowledge of current evidence-based research/best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment.
