Engineering Solutions Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our team at Aldwych Consulting. As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on engineering designs throughout the project lifecycle, spanning planning applications, detailed designs of drainage, highways, public realm, SUDS, and building drainage for major infrastructure and various developments.

Estimated salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Opportunity
  • Provide expert advice on engineering designs for infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • HNC or BEng in Civil Engineering
  • Background in consultancy or private sector development with experience in residential projects
  • Proficiency in preparing highway and drainage designs for private and adoptable works
  • Skilled in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, including 3D modeling software, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with legal, planning, and technical procedures for new developments and regeneration projects
  • Experience applying design codes and standards like Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, and more
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Effective organizational and communication abilities, coupled with a collaborative and responsible approach
  • Proactive, strategic, and analytical problem-solving skills to meet client requirements
