Financial Crime Adviser Job Description

At Jigsaw Financial, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Adviser to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business operates within the boundaries of financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and Briefing: Develop and deliver training programs to various teams on financial crime and compliance, ensuring they are aligned with our AML and financial crime policies.
  • AML and Compliance: Ensure all teams have a thorough understanding of AML issues and are compliant with our policies and procedures.
  • Operational Process Improvement: Develop and improve operational processes around financial crime, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  • Transaction Authorization: Authorize high-risk transactions and escalate AML breaches to the MLRO.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide guidance and advice on compliance with regulatory matters across the business.
  • Client Due Diligence: Work with the onboarding team to ensure client due diligence and AML procedures are followed for complex clients.
  • Client Monitoring: Monitor high-risk clients and ensure their activities are compliant with our policies.
  • Global Payments: Authorize and monitor global payments to ensure they are compliant with our AML policies.
Requirements:
  • Financial Crime and AML Experience: Proven experience in financial crime and AML, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience working in the financial services industry, with a good understanding of the regulated environment.
  • Training and Development: Experience in training, advising, and developing internal teams and employees.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.
