Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Lansdowne Secure Children's Home in Hailsham, East Sussex.

About the Role

This is a 30-hour per week position working on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and providing therapy to young people with complex mental health needs. You will also provide supervision and support to care and education staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to meet the needs of our service users.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary health team, receiving supervision from a Principal Clinical Psychologist within SPFT CAMHS. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment that promotes positive outcomes for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and provide individualised therapy plans for young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Supervise and support care and education staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral-level qualification in applied psychology (or equivalent) approved by the Health Professions Council.
  • Experience of working with children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to provide high-quality clinical supervision and support to staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits
